Although the time × group interaction did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.066), this increase in muscle total creatine content appeared to be driven by an increase in the creatine group (from 90 ± 9 to 107 ± 4 mmol/kg −1 following 5 days of loading), with no apparent changes in muscle total creatine contents in the placebo group (from 88 ± 4 to 90 ± 3 mmol/kg −1 ).
