The sentences
Given the highly significant isolation‐by‐distance patterns shown by both AFLP and m ‐type markers in the Undisturbed subpopulation, this contrasting result can only be interpreted as reflecting inherently low transgenerational inheritance of h ‐type markers, which would have precluded the appearance of spatial structuring even in the face of restricted dispersal (Ley and Hardy 2013 ; Herrera et al. 2016 ).
