Although there was also a significant trend in the risk of non-pulmonary infectious complications across eGFR categories ( P trend < 0.001 in all adjustment models), the risk associated with eGFR categories was much smaller compared to PPCs; <30, 30 to <60, 60 to <90, and ≥120 mL/min/1.73 m 2 in eGFR categories showed fully-adjusted ORs (95% CIs) of 1.11 (0.99 to 1.24), 0.89 (0.84 to 0.95), 0.91 (0.87 to 0.94), and 1.04 (0.96 to 1.11), respectively, (reference: 90 to <120 mL/min/1.73 m 2 ) (Supplemental Table S2 ).

The sentences
There was an increasing trend in the rate of PPCs across lower eGFR categories; the incidence of PPCs was 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.9%, 2.2%, and 3.6% in patients with eGFR ≥ 120, 90 to <120, 60 to <90, 30 to <60, and <30 mL/min/1.73 m 2 , respectively (Table 2 ).
