Discussion Our key finding, that shorter LTL is associated with poorer RCC disease-specific survival, is consistent with a prior study of 59 RCC cases with banked pre-diagnostic blood specimens and over 20 years of mortality follow-up, although the association in that study did not reach statistical significance ( Weischer et al , 2013 ).
