A slightly significant improvement in TTP was obtained in the tivantinib arm for the overall population; however, better outcomes were reached in terms of OS (7.2 vs 3.8 months of the placebo arm; HR: 0.38, 95% CI: 0.18–0.81; p = 0.01) and TTP (2.7 vs 1.4 months respectively; HR: 0.43, 95% CI: 0.19–0.97; p = 0.03) in a subset of patients whose tumor tissues had an overexpression of MET at immunohistochemistry (MET-high patients).
