15 As such, evaluating students’ knowledge is of a quite significant importance, since being exposed to these infections during their field training, students may serve as particulate nidi of infection jeopardizing patients’ lives. 12 , 16 The infection could transmit to approximately 1-50 patients by merely one infected HCW. 14 Hence, knowing the level of students’ perception of them being at risk of contracting these infections, helps us protecting the students and the patients. 12 , 16 In this study, most of the senior health sciences students were obviously aware of the probable occupational risk due to HBV and HCV.
