When stratified by sex, both obese men and women had higher risk of metachronous CRA (adjusted OR, 1.77; 95% CI, 1.01−3.09 for men; adjusted OR, 2.30; 95% CI, 1.08−4.90 for women) compared to those with normal BMI, but did not reach statistical significance ( p for trend = 0.061 for men and 0.075 for women) (Table 4 ).
