A phase 2 study conducted in patients with advanced or metastatic non‐small cell lung cancer similarly showed that veliparib in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel was well tolerated and, compared with chemotherapy alone, showed a trend toward prolonging progression‐free and overall survival. 12 Here we report the results of the first phase 1 study of continuously dosed veliparib administered with carboplatin and weekly paclitaxel in Japanese patients with ovarian cancer.
