While most functional groups included both up- and down-regulated genes, several immune categories showed a clear trend to lower expression in domesticated Bolaks salmon, especially immunoglobulins, complement system and innate antiviral responses (Table 2 ), and the number of down-regulated genes in these categories was higher than in wild Lærdal salmon.
