Although the interaction terms did not reach statistical significance, the adjusted VE estimate seemed to be lower in outpatients aged 65 years or older than in those aged 50–64 years (3% vs 56%; p = 0.064), but this difference nearly disappeared in hospitalised cases (29% vs 43%; p = 0.524) ( Table 3 ).
