Weekly or daily heroin use was also associated with a lower MMT MPR, but this was marginally significant (0.38 vs. 0.52, p = 0.068), as was MMT MPR among those reporting polysubstance use compared to those who did not (0.44 vs. 0.61, p = 0.069). 4 Discussion Relative to continuous adherence, the level of adherence observed in our sample was very low (mean MPR of 0.47) and may substantially undermine the opportunity to derive therapeutic value from this intervention ( Ahamad et al., 2015 , Brugal et al., 2005 , Gowing et al., 2011 , Mattick et al., 2009 , Wolff, 2002 ).
