Our exploratory whole brain analyses (uncorrected p < 0.001 and an cluster extent k > 10 voxels) for the three-way interaction effect of DM1-GROUP × DM2-TYPE × OUTCOME showed a trend that participants from the two different political identity groups respond differently when faced with conflicts against self-expectation regarding in-group versus out-group trust trials.
