Daily CO 2 exposure (sed-CO 2 ) resulted in an apparent reduction in the CO 2 pulse-induced REG increase but this effect did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.062), while exercise alone (ex-air) and exercise w/CO 2 (ex-CO 2 ) attenuated the CO 2 -pulse induced REG increase by 53% ( P = 0.038) and 71% ( P = 0.003) vs. sed-air, respectively.
