After stratification by enrollment site, HBoV monodetection was significantly associated with CAP at the Utah site (OR, 11.4 [95% CI, 1.5–509]) but did not reach statistical significance for the Tennessee site (OR, 5.3 [95% CI, .4–277]; P = .14, by the Fisher exact test), likely because of the small numbers of HBoV capsid mRNA detections (3 of 133 patients and 1 of 229 controls; Supplementary Figure 2) in Tennessee.
