Additionally, 3 of 10 patients in the robotic group had serious complications (Clavien-Dindo grade III or higher), and 1 patient in that group died of liver failure in the postoperative period. Finally, recurrence-free survival for the robotic group was significantly lower than for the open group ( P = .029) with higher rates of peritoneal and multisite metastasis in the robotic group, though these values did not reach statistical significance (60% vs 25%; P = .059).
