8 The CATCH study reported a 35% decreased risk of VTE in patients receiving tinzaparin when compared to warfarin over a 6‐month study period, but the result did not reach statistical significance ( P = .07). 9 With respect to bleeding risk, the rates of major bleeding in the LMWH and warfarin arms of CLOT and CATCH were similar to the findings reported in the current study.
