The association between cumulative steroid dose and the other study outcomes of avascular necrosis, diabetes and hypertension was consistent with the cataract and osteoporosis findings (ORs ranging from 1.427 to 1.618 were suggestive of a moderately increased risk), although these associations did not reach statistical significance.
