Results showed a trend towards an association between CD157 staining and sCD157 in effusion of the same patient: 12/18 (66.67%) biopsies with a CD157 H-score ≥110 had high sCD157 concentrations in the corresponding pleural effusion compared to only 3/11 (16.67%) of those with a CD157 H-score < 110 ( P = 0.06, Table 2 ).
