Noncompliers in the almond group showed a trend for either a reduction in or an inconsistent intake of MUFAs, arginine, vitamin E, and phytic acid (nutrients that are high in almonds) over the intervention period, whereas noncompliers in the control group showed a trend for either an increase in or an inconsistent intake of the aforementioned nutrients over the intervention period (data not shown).
