In an animal model of pulmonary metastasis, the cyclopamine group showed a trend of ~20% inhibition of the metastasis, suggesting that cyclopamine has obvious inhibitory effects on pulmonary osteosarcoma metastasis in vivo; however, marked side effects, mainly skin ulcerations, are caused by cyclopamine/ethanol/triolein administration 101 .
