Mothers with borderline PD ( n = 19 or 15.6% with symptoms over cut-off for a putative diagnosis) were observed as less non-hostile in their interactions with their toddlers (β = − 0.44, p = 0.004), but the tendency to show less sensitivity to their toddlers’ signals was only marginally significant (β = − 0.50, p = 0.04) (Table 3 ).
