When a study restricted regression models to those patients with available information on BMI and was further adjusted for BMI, patients with papillary, chromophobe, and other subtypes of RCC were all somewhat less likely to be obese than those with clear cell RCC, but these associations did not reach statistical significance [ 8 ].
