Dogar and co-workers ( 19 ) performed a meta-analysis on 12 studies and found that SHS exposure was associated with LTBI although this did not reach statistical significance (RR, 1.19; 95% CI, 0.90–1.57); marked variability in the results were also found, which was attributed to differences in the diagnostic criteria used among the studies analyzed.
