Although V 142 A introduction into the full-length rhesus macaque protein decreased the infectivity of virus particles 2-fold, these values did not reach statistical significance, pointing toward additional determinants in the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR)-like domain and the C-terminal domain of the rhesus macaque factor that may negatively regulate antiviral activity.
