Relationships between the acoustic startle response and prepulse inhibition in C57BL/6J mice: a large-scale meta-analytic study.

In the intermediate-responder group, there was a small negative correlation between the amplitude of the ASR to the 120-dB stimulus and the percent PPI at 74–120 dB; however, the result did not reach statistical significance (Fig. 2c , Rho = − 0.0684, p = 0.0734), and a significant negative correlation was identified between the amplitude of the ASR to the 120-dB stimulus and the percent PPI at 78–120 dB (Fig. 2g , Rho = − 0.1548, p < 0.0001).
