Although barely missed statistical significance, the 5-month improvement of OS is thought clinically important which is in contrast to OCEANS, another phase III trial in platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer patients evaluating carboplatin and gemcitabine with or without bevacizumab, where there was no trend of OS benefit.
