Although it did not reach statistical significance, women who underwent trachelectomy had a higher 5-year cervical cancer-specific mortality rate than those who had hysterectomy (14.4% vs. 8.4%, unadjusted-hazard ratio=1.61; 95% CI=0.51–5.06; p=0.41; Fig. 1B ).
