1,4-Beta- d -glucan, a polymer of glucose molecules involved in nonabsorbable carbohydrate metabolism, was detected in this study and its concentration showed a trend of significant decrease in the second trimester (FC = 0.1, T2 vs T1), indicating a significant decrease in cellulose and other nonabsorbable carbohydrates as pregnancy progressed.
