In the multivariate logistic regression model adjusted for age and sex (OR 0.43 (0.16–1.16), P = 0.094) as well as after adjustment for age, sex and comorbidities (OR 0.42 (0.15–1.17), P = 0.096) the association demonstrated a trend towards lower risk for in-hospital death in PE + Syncope patients by the administration of systemic thrombolysis with a borderline significance level, respectively.
In the multivariate regression analysis adjusted for sex and age as well as adjusted for age, sex and additional adjustment for comorbidities this association demonstrated still a trend towards significance.
