Although the qPCR-based arrays provided a rather limited number of targets, the data showed a trend of alterations to key enzymes involved in GLY, PPP, FAS, and FAO, despite only a few displaying significant changes between the cystic and the control samples ( P in the range 0.0002–0.03), (Supplementary Fig. 5c and Supplementary Data 6 , 7 ).
