Throughout this experiment, increased or decreased GTPBP10 levels, although consistent, did not reach statistical significance, probably due to the significant fraction of the protein that is not bound to mitoribosome subunits at a given moment (as seen in sucrose gradients in Figures 2H and 4A ).
