This group exhibited no systematic changes of corticomotor excitability across training ( Figure 2B and Figure 2—figure supplements 2 and 3 ) and mixed effects models revealed no significant neurofeedback type x block number interactions on any of the separate testing sessions in the control group (all p > 0.06, note that statistics approached significance for the second session because MEPs were randomly higher in the DOWN than in the UP condition; see Figure 2—figure supplement 1 for further details).
