The differences among the three groups in level of self-care activation did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.056), but post-hoc tests of the difference between pairs of groups showed that the Confident group had a significantly greater proportion of high activation scores (level 3 and 4) than the Overwhelmed group (70% vs. 48% respectively, p = 0.016).
