In the comparison of the histogram and texture parameters between HPV-positive and HPV-negative patients, the lower contrast (66.6 ± 14.5) and higher homogeneity (2.34 ± 0.23 × 10 − 1 ) in HPV-positive cases compared to -negative cases (contrast: 76.8 ± 7.8, homogeneity: 2.17 ± 0.13) were revealed as nearly significant ( p = 0.07, 0.09 respectively).
