In terms of all‐cause mortality, the Kaplan‐Meier survival curves showed fewer events in patients who were on β 1 ‐selective blockers, but the difference did not reach statistical significance (hazard ratio 0.66; 95% confidence interval 0.38‐1.14; P =0.135) (Figure 3 A).
