The changes in cytokine secretion after treatment were not significant, however, there was a clear trend toward a reduction in both mean IL-4 and INF-γ levels 6 months after treatment in all 6 individuals, 168.5±89 pg/ml compared to 235.5±214 pg/ml and 3330±2313 pg/ml compared to 4723±1921 pg/ml, respectively.
