Our results suggest that while there is some loss of MICA and MICB from the tumour cell at 4 hours (did not reach statistical significance) the majority of ligand is lost up to 24 hours suggesting that the mechanism is not a rapid steric occlusion but occurs more gradually ( Fig 2D and 2E ).
