Wie et al compared the clinical symptoms of laboratory confirmed FluA/H3N2 and FluB, among non-hospitalized adult patients during the 2011–12 season, and also found higher rates of rhinorrhea and gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea (although the latter did not reach statistical significance)) among FluB patients [ 20 ].
