Similar to our study, Friemel et al used a composite dental care score that consisted of tooth brushing, use of dental floss, and dentist visits, and they found that poor dental care was associated with a poorer OS of HNC, but the result did not reach statistical significance (HR = 1.30, 95% CI: 0.78‐2.15).
