Discussion The analysis of CD prevalence in each of the three ADs considered, SLE, pSS and SSc, demonstrated a higher proportion of previously diagnosed CD with respect to controls only in pSS patients with a very high prevalence (6.8%), whereas the prevalence of overt CD in SLE and SSc subjects, although approximately double with respect to controls, did not reach statistical significance.
