Equiluminant stimuli In the two equiluminant color conditions, it is much more difficult to identify a clear trend in the data, as there were very strong differences between the subjects, which is why the respective data plots showing the mean contrast settings across subjects (left column in Figure 7 ) do not provide a representative picture: The percentage of “lustrous” classifications ranged from 8.33% (i.e., 4 of 48 stimuli) to 95.8% with an average of 54.43% for the six subjects.
