CO 2 uptake capacity normalized to the BET surface area of the individual samples shows a clear trend (Supplementary Fig. 24 ): PT- and PY-COFs have 1.46 and 1.67 times higher CO 2 adsorption capacity than PT 2 B- and PY 2 B-COFs, respectively, an effect attributed predominantly to the presence of free amine groups.
