Five out of seven basins in the Jade-Weser estuary (ID 7 to 13) show a clear trend of subtidal deepening (−37 to −3mm/yr, average: −24mm/yr), whereas two basins, one of which the Jade bay, indicate a decrease in subtidal mean depth (+2 to +8 mm/yr).
