DISCUSSION The results of this study showed a nonsignificant trend toward decreased mortality in patients with EVD with likely exposure to ASAQ during the MDAs as compared with patients with EVD not exposed to ASAQ.
The results of the GEE regression analysis showed that EVD patients likely exposed to ASAQ during the MDAs had a decreased risk of death (RR, 0.63; 95% CI, 0.37–1.07; P = .086) compared those who were not exposed, but their difference was marginally insignificant.
