As previously noted ( 21 ), the only difference in demographics was in body mass index (BMI) across the 4 groups (ANOVA P = 0.038), with a numerically higher BMI in patients with IBS-D with high fecal BA excretion; although this did not reach statistical significance on Dunn multiple comparison test, the difference was significant ( P = 0.049) by the direct Mann-Whitney rank-sum test between the 2 groups.
