In a meta-analysis of 4,754 ER- breast cancer cases and 31,663 controls from three GWAS, SNP rs2284378 on chromosome 20q11 was associated with ER- tumors (P=1.1x10 −8 ) and showed a stronger association with TNBC (OR=1.16, P=6.4x10 −3 ) than for ER-/HER2+ tumors (OR=1.07; P=0.41), although the differences did not reach statistical significance [ 60 ].
