However, these differences did not reach statistical significance and we therefore performed a DDB2 knockdown experiment. siRNA depletion of UV-DDB in an immortalized fibroblast line (BJ-hTERT) ( Supplementary Fig. 5c ) showed significant sensitivity to potassium bromate ( Fig. 4c ) in a long-term (7 day) growth assay.
