Given the established importance of cavitation in disease prognosis and treatment response 5 , 10 , 11 , we included this characteristic in the analyses of non-inferiority for various subgroups, despite the fact that cavitation was not a significant variable in the multivariate analysis and was only marginally significant in the univariate analysis (Supplementary Tables 8 – 10 ).
