When comparing the younger (6–9 years) to the older (10–12 years) children, a significant trend towards a reduction in overweight including obesity could be seen in the younger, but not the older, children (OR = 0.984 (0.972–0.996) for 6–9 year old children and OR = 0.991 (0.977–1.005) for 10–12 year old children).
