quite significantno p-value reported
Given that the cytoskeleton is bridged to the plasma membrane, the cytoskeleton underlying the membrane is likely to influence the organization of membrane proteins and lipids and therefore also influence their lateral diffusion. This is particularly likely for membrane proteins and their complexes that can be quite significant in size, extending deep into the cytosolic side of a membrane and therefore interacting with the cytoskeleton protein network.
